Eastport
is the easternmost port in the United States. It is nestled in a
safe harbor behind Canada's Campobello Island. The waters of Passamaquoddy
Bay and Cobscook Bay converge in Eastport generating some of the
highest tidal ranges in the United States. This massive flow keeps
the local waters clean and productive as Eastport is home to one
of the largest salmon aquaculture operations in the US. Eastport
is also centrally located to many of the State's forest products
industries.
